I was feeling ill on Friday so I called in sick, after which I slept for half the day. Later in the evening, I was feeling a bit better, but by Saturday I was nursing a full-fledged migraine.
I slept most of the day Saturday and Sunday, and although pangs of the headache still exist today, I went into work.
Yesterday, Vid spent almost an hour and a half shoveling snow from our walkways before he and dad headed out for church. Each day I am more grateful to Vid for his contributions in helping the household run smoothly.
Thanks to a bad week, which left me upset and depressed, followed by a weekend migraine, my household chores have fallen behind and dad has noticed. I will work to rectify this, not just for Dad, but because mentally I'm more at peace in a clean environment. I think that it will help me handle my work stress better if I can come home to less stress. Also, I think I will take a more proactive role in getting the family room organized; it's where I work when I'm at home.
Tonight is Vid's Communicating Compassionately Class, of which I will be in attendance. Because of this commitment, I may not have time to complete all that I wish to do as far as cleaning the house, but I think that I can do something to move it in a positive direction.
I am also grateful to dad for putting up with the chaos as we adjust to the environment.
Addition to post made Monday, 26 February 2007 at 10:40 pm:
Tonight I didn't get to attend Vid's class because there was no babysitter available. Instead, I spent the evening in the nursery with Aliana, and a set of twin barely toddlers, Eva (pronounced Ava) and Adan. I tried to keep Aliana involved, and she was a big help. There were times when I needed to stop focusing so much on the twins and give Aliana some one on one time, but all in all, things went quite smoothly.,
