Today is day 2 of my most recent journey. Yesterday, I posted my goals for the day and long term.
I refer to my goals as my "Win List", a term, that I believe was coined by Bill Phillips (Fitness Expert and Author of Body-for-LIFE). The idea being that you create small win lists daily, and throughout the day, as each item is completed, you mark those items off as a "Win" or "W!".
Below is my list of and all of the items that I completed, yesterday:
- Wake up before 8:00 AM - W!
- Walk for a minimum of 30 minutes - W!
- Log all of my meals - W!
- Blog today - W!
- Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water - W!
- Move often
I am so happy to see that I'd completed most of my list.
Today's goals are much the same as yesterday's. Since this week is my starting week, my goals are things with which I've continued to struggle.
So, forgive my redundancy, but here is today's list:
- Wake up before 8:00 AM
- Walk for a minimum of 30 minutes
- Log all of my meals
- Blog today
- Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water
- Move often
Other items that I promised to share were my trials and/or tribulations. My tribulations consist of completing so may of my Win List items. I am grateful for whatever progress I make, on a daily basis.
My trials? Well, I still struggle with getting to bed at a decent hour. Also, I struggle to find the right work/life balance. One of the main reasons that I don't move often is because I am constantly glued to my chair, trying to prevent or put out work fires. This is something that I must work on if I am to succeed in my goals for a lifestyle change.
