I Will Not Cry

Let me start off by saying I'm not going to cry.

I've been doing my Nano writing on my Palm using Documents To Go; last night I did a Hot Sync like a good little girl. At first, the computer wouldn't sync, but then I remembered that over the weekend my computer had a glitch that reset the dock on my desktop to factory settings. So I launched my Hot Sync manager, and lo and behold, it was disabled. I enabled it and continued to do my Hot Sync.

Today at work, I grabbed my Palm and my wireless keyboard, went to a quiet corner with my coffee; I was ready to continue the NaNoWriMo journey. As I went to launch my story I couldn't find it... I didn't panic, I called my husband, Vid. He searched my computer and could not find the file there either. He proceeded to launched my Hot Sync manager to check all of the settings. What he found made me want to cry. My little computer glitch did more than reset my dock on my desktop and disable my Hot Sync manager, it reset my Hot Sync manager to override all of my Palm's setting with the computer's. Just like that, bye-bye 1810 words.

I will not cry... I just have to start from the beginning.

Nope, I'm not going to cry.

On the bright side, I could have lost 25,000 words.
