Living My So-So Life

Living My So-So Life

I've been trying to write this post for over a week, but distractions kept getting in the way. Initially, I planned to vent about my unhappiness and the state of the world, but perhaps it’s for the best. Instead, I’ve shifted my focus inward, working on improving my internal state.

It’s been one week since I stopped eating junk food and switched to a high-protein meal plan, along with adopting a 16/8 intermittent fasting routine. This coming week, I aim to incorporate 30 minutes of conscious movement into my daily schedule. One of my goals is to take Cooper for walks around the park by summer—sooner would be even better!

I know I’ve attempted fitness programs before, and many of my false starts are documented in this blog. So, what makes this time different? At 55 years old, with a family history of heart disease and diabetes, I realize that while I may age, I don’t have to feel old—not yet, anyway. I want to take control of my life. While I can’t always muster mental strength or control the world around me, this is one area where I can exert influence.

Here’s to week two—let’s do this!
